It's easy to convince yourself that you don't have what it takes to be good at Zumba. You have "two left feet", "zero rhythm", and "can't keep up"... I have heard it all. I can promise you - everyone can dance to some capacity. And it's about how YOU move your body - not how others perceive your moves. Joining virtually not only is a major time saver and great for those with kiddos, but it allows you to break a sweat from the comfort of your home while working through beginner insecurities!

Meet Erika - confidence coach, creative strategist and now, Zumba Instructor! With my background in Physical Health and Gender Equality & social justice, I'm excited to bring a welcoming and inclusive experience for ANY BODY who wants to dance! As someone who danced competitively for 20 years of her life, I know the narrative and stories we tell ourselves about dance - you have to be GOOD in order to do it. I ask you - how do you expect to be good if you don't start allowing yourself move in the first place?! I genuinely believe dance should be enjoyed by all and I encourage everyone to try it JUST ONCE! Fitness should be FUN - and that can be from it being easy, and it can also surprisingly come from the harder challenges you push yourself to try!
I choreograph my classes to ensure there are modifications and alterations for all different fitness and dance abilities and I encourage you to always share with me any injuries or concerns before we begin so I can support you in having the best time possible!
Dancing for empowerment and self worth dates back to the beginning of time - with folks from the Black, Brown, Trans and Indigenous communities integrating movement into their liberation regimes as a way to claim their personal and cultural power. Hips are known to store stress and emotions, and moving them is known to help release emotional blocks we hold day to day.
Zumba is an opportunity to express yourself - emotionally, sensually and physically. And as someone who helps clients from around the world gain confidence in themselves, I will be bringing that intention to each and every class hosted!
I can't wait to move and groove with you in person & online - keep showing up for yourself in whatever way is possible! I love you.
There will be no refunds for the classes purchased. You may use the class for another date if you cancel within 4 hours of the class start time.
Absolutely none. The people who end up enjoying Zumba the most are those who come in with compassion to their abilities and let themselves enjoy the journey of learning how their body moves!
YES! There is ZERO tolerance of any form of harassment or bullying so as long as you are coming to class for the right reasons and acting appropriately - you are welcome! Legal actions will be taken need be to those not willing to safely participate in class.
